Louisville Hosts Syracuse Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Freedom Hall

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will honor those who have served and continue to serve in our Nation's Armed Services by wearing uniforms that have incorporated the Army's ACU Digital Camouflage Pattern tomorrow, Jan. 23 when they host Syracuse in Freedom Hall at 2:00 p.m. The University of Louisville has partnered with the U.S. Army as well as the Wounded Warrior Project, and the Army National Guard to help the Louisville community show how much they appreciate those who have served in our Armed Forces.

Louisville enters the game with a 10-8 overall record and a 2-3 record in the BIG EAST. The Cards are looking to bounce back after two straight losses to ranked opponents. The sophomore duo of Becky Burke and Monique Reid lead the Cardinals. Reid leads the Cardinals in scoring and rebounding with 16 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Burke is second on the team in scoring with 15.6 points per game. She also leads the team from behind the arc, connecting on 44 3-pointers this season. Burke has been seen action at the point guard position the last two games and leads the team with 33 assists. Junior Keshia Hines ranks third on the team in scoring with 9.1 points per game and second in rebounding with 7.1 boards per game.

Syracuse enters the game with an overall record of 15-3 and a BIG EAST record of 2-3. Syracuse is also coming off two straight conference losses. The Orange has three players averaging double figures, led by senior Nicole Michael with 14.1 points per game. Michael also leads the team in rebounding with 7.3 boards per game. Kayla Alexander is the second leading scorer, averaging 13.3 points per game. Junior Erica Morrow rounds out the top scorers with 10.9 points per game.

The game will be the seventh meeting between the two teams. Louisville leads the series 4-2 over the Orange.
