Women's Basketball Returns Home to Host Cincinnati Friday Night

Louisville, Ky. - The No. 13/15 Louisville women's basketball team will host Cincinnati on Friday, Jan. 18 in the KFC Yum! Center at 7:00 p.m. The Cardinals will be looking to bounce back after falling to No. 2/3 UConn 72-58 on Tuesday night.

The Cardinals enter the game with an overall record of 14-4 and a 2-2 record in league play. Overall, Schimmel leads the team in scoring with 12.8 points while dishing out 3.2 assists. Monique Reid ranks second on the team in scoring with 10.9 points per game. Sara Hammond rounds out the top scorers with 10.6 points per game while leading the team in rebounding with 6.1 per game.

Schimmel Leads No. 14 Louisville Past Cincinnati, 64-59
Shoni Schimmel scored 16 points to lead No. 14 Louisville past Cincinnati 64-59 Wednesday night in the BIG EAST opener for both teams.

The Bearcats enter the game with an overall record of 8-8 and a league record of 0-3. Cincinnati is coming off a 77-44 loss to University of South Florida Tuesday evening. Jeanise Randolph returned to the lineup after missing nine games, leading the Bearcats in scoring with 12 points. She also pulled down seven rebounds. Dayeesha Hollins leads the team in scoring this season at 16.8 points per game. She has reached double digits in scoring 13 games this season. Lesha Dunn ranks second on the team in scoring with 8.4 points per game. Tiffany Turner leads the team in rebounding with 7.4 boards per game.
