10th Ranked Cardinals to Host Seton Hall at Freedom Hall on Tuesday Night

Louisville, Ky. - The 10th ranked Louisville Cardinals will host Seton Hall on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 7:00 p.m. in Freedom Hall to open up BIG EAST play. The game will be broadcast live on WKRD or at www.uoflsports.com. Jim Kelch will handle play-by-play duties while Adrienne Johnson will be the color analyst.

The Cardinals enter the game ranked 10th in the AP Poll this week. Louisville enters the game with an overall record of 14-1. Senior Angel McCoughtry leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 20.1 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Senior Candyce Bingham is second on the team in scoring and rebounding with 12.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.

Seton Hall will look to bounce back from a loss in its BIG EAST opener against the Cardinals on Tuesday night. The Pirates saw a seven-game winning streak snapped their last time out in a tough 66-60 loss to No.12/6 Notre Dame at Walsh Gymnasium. The Pirates enter the game with an overall record of 11-2 and a league record of 0-1. Sophomore Ebonie Williams leads the Pirates in scoring with 16.6 points per game. Noteisha Womack is second on the team in scoring with 15.3 points while Nicole Emery is third with 13.2 points per game. Womack leads the team and the league in rebounding with 13.8 boards per game.

Tuesday's game will be the fourth meeting between the two teams. Louisville leads the series 3-0 against Pirates.
