LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville cross country's Michael Eaton was named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Cross Country All-Academic Team, the New Orleans-based organization announced Monday.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have either earned USTFCCCA All-America status or finished in the NCAA region's top 15 (or top 10 percent) in 2010.
Eaton was one of 56 student-athletes in the nation to earn the distinction. He capped off a successful career this season, earning his fourth all-region honor and making his third trip to the national championships. He also earned his third all-BIG EAST honor (top-10 placewinners at BIG EAST Cross Country Championships), registering his best finish at the league event this season with a runner-up finish.
