LOUISVILLE, Ky. - At a meet designed to honor the late duo of Lenny Lyles and Clark Wood, the track and field teams served the two Louisville legends with a more than admirable performance.

Headlining the meet, the University of Louisville track and field teams captured 19 event titles and broke two school records at the invitational Friday evening at Cardinal Park Track and Soccer Stadium.

Freshman Calvin Arsenault, who has continued to develop into one of the program's elite sprinters, broke the 13-year-old school record in the 110m hurdles. A Kitchener, Ontario, native, Arsenault clocked a time of 14.08 in the event, beating Zek Parker's time of 14.12 in 1999. The mark ranks in the top five in the conference.

The other school record came in the field events, as Chinwe Okoro registered a career-best 17.16m/56-3.75 in the shot put. The mark, which ranks in the top-10 nationally, breaks D'Ana McCarty's record that she set in 2011. Okoro already ranks in the top five in the country in the discus, where she posted a first-place finish Friday on the heels of a 56.40m/185-0 throw.

The Cardinals won an additional two throwing events, as Jenna Wargo was victorious in the women's javelin and Sam Bombaugh took first the in the men's hammer throw. Wargo's winning throw of 48.40m/158-9 is the fourth-best mark in school history.

Also in the field events, between the men and women, Louisville secured all six event titles in the jumps.

On the men's side, Wesley Smith placed first in the long jump with a top-25 national mark of 7.59m/24-11, Seon Powell had a first-place showing in the triple jump, and Taylor Caldwell was crowned the winner in the high jump. Caldwell's mark of 2.03m/6-8 is a career best and is a top-10 conference mark. On the women's side, Charachesicia Lockhart took the long jump title, Malina Simmers won the triple jump competition, and Michelle Theophille set a meet record and personal best by clearing 1.80m/5-10.75. The mark will place her in the top-15 nationally.

On the track, the men's group captured wins in the 400m hurdles, 800m, 1,500m and the 3,000m steeplechase. Jordon Frazier won his third-straight race in the hurdles, and Luke Lovelace grabbed a pair of wins, taking first in the 800m and 1,500m. Lovelace worked his way from the back of the pack in the 800m to win the race in 1:53.19. The last win came from Mattias Wolter, who was a late entry in the steeplechase. He cruised to a victory nearly 20 seconds better than the runner-up.

Holly Knight, Gabrielle Jackson and Ahlivia Spencer helped lead the charge in the women's track events. Knight, a distance runner, paced her way to a win in the 1,500m. Jackson, who was part of the winning 4x100m and 4x400m relays, took first in the 400m hurdles. The other portion of the 4x100m winning quartet was Margret Harris, Lockhart and Hadassah Bruno. In the 4x400m relay, the overall group was Bruno, Lockhart, Jackson and Theophille. Spencer, who set the school record in the 800m last week, won her second-straight race in the event behind a time of 2:09.91, the third-fastest outdoor time in school history.
