LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's tennis coach Rex Ecarma has announced that Pally Ray has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Cardinals beginning in the fall of 2014.

"Pally is a player who has not reached his potential and we feel we can get that out of him here at Louisville," said Ecarma. "He has impressive wins in both singles and doubles. I feel a personal connection with him and his family and look forward to growing that relationship. Georgia is one of the top states in the country in our sport and it is good to have one of the better players in the state coming to Louisville. He is also a brilliant student with an impressive pedigree. Pally will represent the program well."

Pally Ray, a standout from Alpharetta, Ga. , (Johns Creek HS) has had several impressive results in his junior career which include qualifying for the USA Hard Court and Clay Court Supernational Championships and posting wins over seven players ranked in the top 60 in the nation. He has been ranked as high as No. 79 in the Tennis Recruiting Network's Class of 2014.

"I cannot express in words how excited I am to join the Cardinals next year as a freshman," said Ray. "The University in itself is such a famous name and I found the balance that I was searching for with both stellar athletic programs and intensive academic courses at UofL. Most importantly, the coaches and team have welcomed me better than any other school and have such strong chemistry that it's almost impossible not to fall in love at first sight. I can't wait to be at Louisville next year!"
