LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - The University of Louisville men's tennis team is set to host the Louisville Winter Invitational Oct. 16-18. Matches will be played indoors and outdoors at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.

This year's tournament will feature three divisions in both singles and doubles with main draw and consolation play. The field includes 12 teams from around the region: Duquesne, Eastern Kentucky, Indiana, IU-Southeast, Kentucky, Lipscomb, Louisville, Morehead State, Tennessee Tech, Western Kentucky, Wright State and Xavier.

"I am happy to be hosting a second invitational this fall at home," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "The players, fans, supporters and friends always like to support the team. Adam Donaldson, Sumit Gupta and Tim Barnoud will be representing the Cardinals this weekend and the rest of the players will play the new Ohio Valley Regional Championships. This will be a good opportunity to see how much these three guys have improved since their last competition. The fall tournaments are a great time to help the player develop."

First round doubles action will begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16.
