ATLANTA- -
The University of Louisville men's tennis team completed the first day of the Georgia Tech Invitational Saturday.
"The learning curve continues, these freshmen have to learn to bring their `A' game every time they step on the court," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "Their opponents are fired up to play against them and they consider it a big win when they beat a Louisville player. I hope tomorrow they will learn from their failure."
Freshman Felipe Nino fell 6-1, 6-0 to Vanderbilt's Alex DiMalierio. Arren Carter lost 6-3, 6-1 to Georgia State's Victor Valente. Dante Terenzio retired in a loss to Lipscomb's Oliver Strecker.
Doubles play will begin Sunday at 8 a.m.
