The University of Louisville's Sebastian Stiefelmeyer has earned the 2013-14 American Athletic Conference Scholar Sport Excellence Award Winner for men's tennis.

Stiefelmeyer (Vienna, Austria) was a 2014 American Athletic Conference All-Singles team selection after posting a 23-17 overall singles record and went 23-15 in doubles while earning league player of the week honors twice in 2014. The three-time all-conference selection has been nationally ranked in singles in all three of his seasons at UofL. Stiefelmeyer, the Cards' top-seeded player and team captain also earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athlete honors in 2014.

The 2014 Louisville men's tennis team posted a 21-8 overall record and earned its fifth NCAA tournament appearance in the last six years.

The Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Awards are given to one student-athlete in each American Athletic Conference-sponsored sport based on academic credentials, athletic accolades or performances and volunteer service to the community. Student-athletes who have attained junior academic standing and a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 are eligible.
