University of Louisville incoming freshman Dante Terenzio advanced to the round of 32 of the USTA Boys 18 National Clay Court Championships in Delray Beach, Fla.

Terenzio won three straight matches before falling to Zachary Krumholz in the round of 32. He opened the tournament with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Hector Irizarry in the round of 256. He went on to defeat Anthony Tsocikov 1-6, 6-2, 7-5 and topped 17th seeded Justin Crenshaw 6-3, 6-4 in the round of 64.

"Dante is doing a good job preparing himself for U of L Tennis," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "He knows are goals are set very high and he wants to be a part of it. He is really a warrior on the court and that will fit in with our team personality."
