Carter Advances to Second Round of Levene Gouldin and Thompson Tennis Challenger

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Former University of Louisville tennis player Andrew Carter picked up a win the first round of the Levene Gouldin and Thompson Tennis Challenger on July 17 in Binghamton, N.Y. The 2012 senior defeated Ante Pavic from Croatia in the first round 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 in the first round. "Andrew Carter won the biggest match of his young professional career," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "A challenger tournament ti the tennis version of AAA baseball. For Andrew to win at this level in the first month of his pro career is amazing."
