Buffington Named Cleveland Plain Dealer Boys Tennis Player of the Year

University of Louisville incoming freshman Colton Buffington was named the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Boys Tennis Player of the Year and was a member of the 2012 Spring All-Star team.

Buffington, a graduate of Westlake High School compiled a 30-0 singles record en route to winning the Division I state championship. The four-time state tournament participant also earned Player of the Year honors as a sophomore in 2010.

"Colton continues to receive more honors," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "He has worked extremely hard off the court and it has paid dividends. He is getting his body and mind college ready because he wants to contribute to our success as soon as possible. He has a great support team that believes but challenges him on a regular basis."
