Wagner Reaches Semifinals of Aidenbacher International Tournament

The University of Louisville tennis player Albert Wagner is continuing to improve his game over the summer with a semifinal showing at the Aidenbacher International.

The senior from Amberg, Germany picked up a three-set win in the first round and went on to beat to a 6-4, 7-5 victory in the second round. Wagner picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win to reach the semifinals where he fell 0-6, 7-6, 2-6 to eventual runner-up.

"I am proud of Albert Wagner for a semifinal showing in the prestigious Aidenbacher International," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "He defeated the #80 player in Germany along the way. I believe that Albert will be prepared for our first official year in the ACC. I have a lot of confidence in him."
