University of Louisville incoming freshman Courtney Lock advanced to the singles finals and doubles semifinals of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) South/Central African Junior Circuit U18 Championship in Namibia, Africa.

"I am really proud of Courtney in making it to the finals of a G4 tournament," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "It is quite an accomplishment. He is doing everything he possible can to grow his game and world junior ranking. I know he wants to be prepared for the rigors of Division 1 tennis at the national level and competing in the ACC. He truly loves the game and hungers to get better. We are fortunate that he is joining a team that returns all of its starters and key reserves."

In singles, Lock (Harare, Zimbabwe) received a first round bye and went on to win four straight matches before falling 4-6, 6-3 in the finals. His doubles team won two straight matches before falling 6-3, 7-6(3) in the semifinals.
