Austen Childs Named BIG EAST Men's Tennis Player of the Week

Louisville, Ky. - For the second straight week, Louisville senior Austen Childs was named BIG EAST Male Tennis Player of the Week. This is the third conference award for Childs this season and sixth for the Cardinal men. Childs helped the No. 31 Cardinals down two ITA-ranked opponents last week. In Louisville's 5-2 win against No. 40 VCU April 2, the senior won 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 at the No. 1 spot and teamed with Adam Donaldson for an 8-6 No. 3 doubles victory. UofL defeated No. 45 USF 5-2 April 3 as 16th-ranked Childs came from behind to beat No. 73 Lucas Jovita 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. Childs and Donaldson picked up an 8-1 No. 3 doubles win.
