Men's Tennis Moves to No. 29 in Team Rankings

The University of Louisville men's tennis team has jumped nine spots to No. 29 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association team rankings released on March 4.

"We are happy to move higher and get back in the 20s," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "This team has potential and we are hoping to continue to improve and try get on some type of run."

The Cardinals (8-4) spent the first five weeks of the season ranked No. 47-49 before jumping to No. 38 in the first computerized rankings released on Feb. 25. After defeating No. 23 Northwestern and falling short in a 5-2 loss at No. 3 Oklahoma, Louisville moved to No. 29.

UofL is back in action on March 7 with a doubleheader against Illinois State (2 p.m.) and Chicago State (6 p.m.) at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. Admission is free.
