The University of Louisville men's tennis team posted five wins on day two of the South Carolina Fall Invitational.
In the singles flight versus South Carolina, seniors Robert Rotaru and Tim Barnoud and freshman Andrew Carter picked up wins. Rotaru edged Ivan Machado 7-6, 7-6. Carter beat Chris Sheeham 6-2, 6-2 and Barnoud defeated Joe Veeder 6-2, 6-1.
In doubles action against South Carolina, Rotaru and sophomore Alejandro Calligari teamed to beat Pedro Campos and Ivan Machado 8-3. Rotaru and Calligari went on to defeat Arkansas' Williams and King 8-4.
"We had an OK day today," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "I'm really pleased with Robert Rotaru who recovered from a tough first day and won his singles and doubles match today. He looked sharp, played with a lot of heart and being a senior, he realizes every day is a different day. Showed a lot of character today. Andrew Carter had a very comfortable win today, he's really settling in and winning a lot of matches this fall."
The South Carolina Fall Invitational will conclude Sunday.
