TULSA, Okla. - The University of Louisville's Sebastian Stiefelmeyer advanced to the second round of the ITA Men's All-American Championship qualifying draw Monday evening.
The sophomore who stands at No. 70 in the ITA preseason singles rankings, entered the tournament as the No. 13 seeded player in the qualifying draw and defeated Lance Wilhelm of Air Force 7-5, 6-4 in the round of 128. He will face USC's Eric Johnson in Tuesday's second round.
Sophomore Albert Wagner fell 6-4, 7-6 to Florida A&M's C. Salif-Kante in the first round.
Stiefelmeyer and Wagner will compete in the first round of doubles on Tuesday.
