Freshman Arren Carter captured the Flight `B' singles crown and junior Robert Hall was the runner-up in the `A' division Sunday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. The doubles teams of Carter and Hall and freshmen Dante Terenzio and Felipe Nino each finished runner-up in their respective doubles divisions.

"I'm pleased that we had finalists in all four divisions" said head coach Rex Ecarma. "I can't remember if we have ever done that before. Robert Hall was very impressive, leading the way in flight A singles and doubles. I am also very proud of Arren Carter for winning the flight B singles title. Out of all of our freshmen, he seemed the most prepared in singles play. We will definitely take this momentum into our next fall invitational."

In the `B' singles title match, Carter defeated Illinois States' Skip Span 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 for his first tournament victory as a Cardinal.

Illinois State's Timon Reichelt captured the 'A' flight with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Hall.

In the flight `A' doubles championship match, Illinois State's Timon Reichelt and Alexander Pelaez beat Hall and Carter 8-2. Austin Peay's Joao Pegan and John Storie defeated Terenzio and Nino to claim the `B' division title.
