In the fall (2010): Posted an 8-3 record in singles... Advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA All-American Championships, the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regionals and the USTA/ITA Indoor Championships... Ranked No. 10 in ITA preseason singles rankings... Teamed with Viktor Maksimcuk for a 6-3 doubles record... Childs and Maksimcuk won the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional title... Childs and Maksimcuk reached the quarterfinals of the USTA/ITA Indoor Championships... Childs and Maksimcuk were No. 45 in the ITA preseason doubles rankings.

As a junior (2009-10): Selected to New Zealand Davis Cup team... Registered the deciding point New Zealand's 3-2 Davis Cup win over Pakistan... NCAA Singles Runner-up - becoming the first U of L player to advance to the title match... Opened the singles championship with five consecutive wins. En route to his runner-up finish, he upset four higher-ranked opponents and avenged four prior losses along the way - including a first-round victory over top-ranked JP Smith of Tennessee... Became Louisville's second All-American when he reached the round of 16... Posted a team-best 33-12 overall record and was 22-5 in dual matches, playing at No. 1... Selected to the NCAA Singles Championship for third consecutive season... BIG EAST Player of the Year (2nd straight year)... All-BIG EAST selection... Earned U of L adidas High Performance Award... Went 19-4 in dual matches, playing mostly as the top seed... All-BIG EAST selection... U of L Sophomore Athlete of the Year... Earned BIG EAST Player of the Week honors three times... Competed in the NCAA singles and doubles championship for the second straight year... Advanced to the semifinals of the Florida State Seminole Invitational... Teamed with Simon Childs for a team-best 26-9 overall record... Childs and Childs went 13-5 in dual matches at No. 1... Most people don't know that he likes ice hockey... If he could trade places with someone for a day it would be Ryan Gosling... Marcel Vos has had the greatest impact on his athletic career...
