Louisville, Ky. - The No. 5/9 Louisville men's soccer team will host BIG EAST foe and long-time rival Cincinnati on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 7:00 p.m. in Cardinal Park. This will be the final home game of the regular season for the Cardinals.
Louisville enters the match with an overall record of 11-2-2 and a BIG EAST record of 6-2-1. The Cardinals are led by sophomore forward Colin Rolfe, who leads the team in goals scored with a career-high nine on the season and in points with a career-high 19 points. Junior forward Mark Knight leads the team in assists with five on the year with six goals for 17 points.
The Cardinals are led between the posts by sophomore goalkeeper Andre Boudreaux. Boudreaux has a 0.64 goals against average, only giving up 10 goals in 15 games with 29 saves. Boudreaux's 11 shutouts this season is a career-high and school-record for the New Orleans native.
Cincinnati enters the game with an overall record of 8-8-0 and a league record of 3-6-0. The Bearcats are led by Mark Konitsch with four goals scored this year and Nick Weightman, who leads the team in assists with five and points with 11. The Bearcats are led in goal by Matt Williams, who has a 1.55 goals against average allowing 19 goals with 55 saves on the season.
Cincinnati leads the overall series 20-12-1 against Louisville. Last time out, the Cardinals defeated the Bearcats 2-1 in OT on the road. The last time in Cardinal Park, the Cards defeated the Bearcats 1-0 in 2007 and owns a 9-8-0 record against Cincinnati at home.
