Men's Soccer Wraps Up the Regular Season at Cincinnati on Saturday Night

Louisville, Ky. - The No. 14 Louisville men's soccer team will travel to Cincinnati on Saturday, Oct. 27 for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. The game is the regular season finale for the Cardinals, who have already clinched at least a share of the BIG EAST Red Division regular season title. The Cardinals enter the game with an overall record of 11-4-1 and a BIG EAST record of 6-1-0. Earlier this week the Cardinals defeated UC Irvine 2-1 in Cardinal Park. Sophomores Will Vitalis and Dylan Mares lead the team in scoring with four goals and five assists for 13 points. Senior Greg Cochrane ranks third on the team with 12 points. Junior Mike Mauro started the last eight games for the Cardinals in goal. He owns a 0.78 goals against average with four shutouts and an 8-1-1 record.

The No. 9 Louisville men's soccer team defeated Cincinnati 4-0 Wednesday evening in Cardinal Park. The Cardinals dominated play from beginning to end of the match, securing their seventh shutout on the year. Louisville improves to 8-3-1 on the year and 1-2-1 in BIG EAST play. Cincinnati falls to 4-8-1 on the year and 0-4-0 in league play.
