Louisville, Ky. - The No. 8/11 Louisville men's soccer team will host the 25th ranked Indiana Hoosiers on Wednesday, Oct. 20 in Cardinal Park at 7:00 p.m. It will be the 16th meeting between the two teams in the Battle of the Border.
Louisville enters the match with a 9-2-2 overall record and a 5-2-1 BIG EAST record. The Cardinals are led by junior forward Mark Knight and sophomore forward Colin Rolfe. Knight leads the team in points and assists with five goals and four assists for 14 points. Rolfe leads the team in goals scored with six on the year. Sophomore goalkeeper Andre Boudreaux leads the Cardinals between the posts with a 0.74 goals against average playing every minute this season. He also has 25 saves on the season with nine shutouts, which is one away from tying the school-record of 10 shutouts in a season.
Indiana enters the game with a 7-5-1 overall record and a 2-1-0 record. The Hoosiers are led by Will Bruin with six goals and three assists for 15 points on the season. He leads all major categories for the Hoosiers including shots, shots on goal, and game winning goals. Indiana is led in goal by Luis Soffner with a 0.88 goals against average, with 39 saves and six shutouts this year.
Indiana leads the overall series 14-1-0. Last time in Cardinal Park, the Cardinals won their only game against the Hoosiers 2-1 in overtime.
