No. 7 Men's Soccer Hosts Battle of the Bluegrass Wednesday Night in Cardinal Park

Louisville, Ky. - The No. 7/7 Louisville men's soccer team will host the Battle of the Bluegrass against Kentucky on Wednesday, Oct. 14 in Cardinal Park at 7:00 p.m. The game is a Red Out and all fans are encouraged to wear red to the game.

Louisville enters the match with an 8-1-2 overall record and a 5-1-1 BIG EAST record. The Cardinals are led by junior forward Mark Knight with five goals and three assists for 13 points. Senior midfielder Freddie Braun and sophomore forward Colin Rolfe each also have five goals on the season following close behind in points with 12 and 11 respectively. Sophomore goalkeeper Andre Boudreaux leads the Cardinals between the posts with a 0.61 goals against average, allowing only seven goals all year. He also has 20 saves with eight shutouts.

Kentucky enters the match with an 8-4-0 overall record and a 1-3-0 league record. The Wildcats are led by Matt Lodge with five goals and one assist for 11 points on the year. Dan Williams leads Kentucky in the goal with a 0.91 goals against average with 28 saves and three shutouts so far this season.

Kentucky leads the overall series 12-9-4, but last time out the Cardinals won on the road 4-2.
