GREEN BAY, Wis. -
The University of Louisville men's soccer team was defeated by the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay 1-0 Tuesday night in overtime in windy and cold Green Bay, Wis.
After 90 minutes of scoreless soccer, both teams dove into the overtime period looking to end the game early with a goal. The Phoenix got its wish just four minutes into extra time when substitute striker Brian Giovinazzi broke through the Cards' defense and slipped the ball under UofL goalkeeper Jeremy Morales.
The Cards move to 2-2-1 on the season and will return home Saturday to face Conference USA rival South Florida at Cardinal Field. Kick off is scheduled for 1 p.m. (ET).
