Louisville, Ky. - Freshman standout Marlon Hairston is one of 24 players to be called up by head coach Tab Ramos for the U.S. Under-20 Men's National team training camp on April 22-29 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The team is preparing for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which takes place June 21-July 13 in Turkey.

The USA's weeklong camp concludes with an April 28 match against the reserve team of Major League Soccer's Chivas USA.

"This is a very important camp for us and is a segue toward selecting our final group for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup," Ramos said. "Because it is a domestic camp, we get to have 24 players on hand. We have some players who haven't been seen and others who were part of the tournament, so we're really looking forward to seeing how they perform."

Hairston was named to the All-BIG EAST Rookie team after finishing the season with three goals and three assists. He played in 19 games and started in 18 for the Cardinals. Hairston scored the game- winning goals against Belmont and Ohio State. He also dished out three game-winning assists against Wake Forest, St. John's, and UC Irvine.

This camp marks the first for the U-20s since their strong runner-up performance at the CONCACAF U-20 Championship. The U-20 MNT qualified for the U-20 World Cup when it defeated Canada 4-2 on Feb. 26 to advance to the semifinals of the CONCACAF U-20 Championship. The USA took second place in the tournament, which was capped off by a hard fought 3-1 overtime loss to host Mexico in the title match at Estadio Cuauhtémoc in Puebla.
