Louisville, Ky. - The 2003-04 University of Louisville men's golf team opens its fall season this Monday at the Mean Green Invitational in Flowerbound, Texas.

The Cardinals are looking to build off its exciting summer that saw four players qualify for the U.S. Amateur Championships.

Leading a young, but talented group of players is junior Brett Jones. Last season, Jones became the first Louisville golfer to qualify for the NCAA Tournament and set the school's single-season stroke average at 72.5.

Junior Charlie Woo is coming off a solid season, finishing with a 74.6 average. Sophomore Brent Holmes will also make the trip.

A pair of freshmen will close out the starting five. Mark Conlon from Arlington, Texas, and Michael Giammaresi will make their collegiate debuts this week.
