Cardinals Struggle To 18th-Place Showing At Marshall Invitational In Men's Golf

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The University of Louisville men's golf team limped through windy conditions to an 18th place showing at the Marshall Invitational this weekend at the Guyan Golf and Country Club.

No Cardinal rated among the top 20 golfers of the 20 team event but were led by Colorado State transfer Geoff Nuwash. A sophomore, Nuwash carded a two-day total of 224 to tie for 29th place in the 54-hole event.

Reigning C-USA Golfer of the Week Chris Campbell finished second among U of L participants shooting a 17-over-par score of 230.

The Cardinals will regroup before heading off to the Conference USA Championships at Navarre, Fla. April 17-19.
