Men's Golf Rallies To Win Johnny Owens Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Junior Chris Campbell fired a 5-under-par 67 in the final round to lead the Louisville men's golf team to a first-place finish Saturday at the Johnny Owens Invitational in Lexington. The win was the first team title for the Cardinals since the 1997-98 season.

Louisville, which entered the final round in third place and two strokes behind Marshall, finished with a three-round total of 876 (286-303-287) to edge Marshall by six strokes.

Campbell placed second overall with a 2-under 214 (71-76-67), while Grant Sturgeon tied for fourth at 218 (71-77-70). Marshall's Sam O'Dell took medalist honors with a 5-under 211.
