FRANKLIN, Ind. -
After holding a one-shot advantage entering the final round of the Legends of Indiana Tournament, the Louisville Cardinals posted a final round 294 and slipped into a fifth place tie in the 54-hole tournament. Miami of Ohio captured the tournament title after defeating the University of Notre Dame in a playoff.
Individually, junior Chris Campbell finished the competition in a sixth-place tie, three shots behind medalist Steve Ratay of Notre Dame. Campbell fired a final round 73 (+1) to finish the tournament one-over-par.
Sophomore Grant Sturgeon, who opened the afternoon tied for sixth place, dropped to 26th overall with a final round 77.
Freshman Steven Hassett recorded a top 30 finish in his first collegiate event finishing the tournament at 223 (+7).
