PROVIDENCE, R.I. -
The University of Louisville's Riley Wheeldon, a unanimous selection to the All-BIG EAST Team, was named the Men's BIG EAST Player of the Year.
Last season, Wheeldon was named the BIG EAST Newcomer of the Year after the Cardinals won the BIG EAST Championship.
Wheeldon sported an impressive 73.45 stroke average and led the Cardinals at the BIG EAST Championship, finishing in a tie for eighth.The Card
Freshman of the Year honors went to Seton Hall's Brandon Park. The
rookie tied with Wheeldon for eighth at the conference championship and
help the Pirates to a fourth place finish overall. Park stood out
amongst the freshman class with a 74.13 scoring average.
Louisville's Chris Biuso was also a unanimous first team All-BIG EAST selection for the Cardinals.
