Men's Golf's Chris Malec Earns BIG EAST Honor

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville junior Chris Malec earned BIG EAST Men's Golf Player of the Week honors as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon. Malec led the Cardinals at the Irish Creek Collegiate where he finished ninth overall. It marked Malec's second straight top-10 finish. Malec fired a 70 in the third round for a total of 71-67-70=208. His five-under par was eight shots behind the tournament winner who finished at 13-under. The men's golf team returns to action on Saturday, April 14 at the NC State Wolfpack Invitational in Raleigh, N.C.
