Louisville, Ky. - - Former University of Louisville golfer Adam Hadwin,a two-time champion on the Canadian Tour, had a nice run on the PGA TOUR in 2011. He played in five tournaments and made the cut each time. He first qualified for the U.S. Open, where he tied for 39th, then tied for fourth in the RBC Canadian Open.

Later in the summer Hadwin tied for 32nd at The Greenbrier Classic, tied for seventh at the Frys.com Open and finished 70th at The McGladrey Classic.

He wound up making $440,752 last season on the PGA TOUR and moved from 332 in the Official World Golf Ranking to 214 by the end of the summer.

Hadwin also won three times on the Vancouver Golf Tour and won once on the Gateway Tour.

After getting to the final stage of PGA TOUR Qualifying School, Hadwin, who played at Louisville and turned pro in 2009, wound up tied for 100th thanks in large part to a 76 during the fourth round of the six-round stage.

During his short time on the PGA TOUR last season he averaged 297.5 yards driving and had a very good scoring average of 69.48.

The experience he gained on the PGA TOUR last season will only help him this season on the Nationwide Tour.
