FOREST OAKS, N.C. - The University of Louisville men's golf team stands in fourth place after the first two rounds of play at the UNCG Bridgestone Collegiate at Forest Oaks Country Club.

The Cards shot a 299-284=583 total on day one to trail first Michigan (293-282=575) by only eight shots. Michigan State stands in second at 293-286=579, while Duke is third in the 14-team tournament at 291-289=580.

Adam Hadwin led the way for the Cards on day one with a 75-69=144 total on the par-72 course and a seventh-place tie overall, while Riley Wheeldon is tied for 11th at 74-71=145. Connor Arendell is tied for 22nd at 77-70-147, followed by Karsten Clements in 34th at 73-76=149 and Lewis Kirton in 45th at 77-74=151.

The final round of play is set to begin on Tuesday.
