Jonesborough, Tenn. - The University of Louisville men's golf team improved by 11 shots en route to their season low round of four-under par 284, but the Cardinals finished in 12th place out of 14 teams at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at The Ridges on Sunday afternoon.

The Cardinals shot 309-295-284=888 in three rounds of action. The University of Virginia won the tournament with their three-day total of 853.

Justin Dorward led the Cardinals with his season-best score of 68 in the final round. Dorward finished the tournament at even-par and placed 15th with rounds of 75-73-68=216.

Karsten Clements fired back-to-back pars in the second and third rounds of the tournament and was one of three Cardinals to shoot par in the final round. Clements finished in a tie for 27th with 76-72-72=220.

Riley Wheeldon tied for 48th overall after shooting 78-75-72=225, while Sebastian Szirmak was tied for 53rd with 80-75-72=227. Daniel Iceman was 71st after firing 84-78-75=237.

The Cardinals conclude their fall season at the ODU/Kilmaric Invitation from Oct. 24-26.
