Men's Golf Three Strokes Off Lead at Wolfpack Spring Open

RALEIGH, N.C. - The University of Louisville men's golf team sits in fourth place at the halfway point of the Wolfpack Spring Open. The Cardinals fired a 7-over 295 in the first round and are only three strokes off the lead.

Lamar leads the 17-team field at 292. North Carolina State and East Carolina are tied for second at 294.

BIG EAST Men's Golf Player of the Week Chris Malec continued his dominating spring. The junior fired a 72 in the first round and is tied for fourth. Malec is one shot off of the lead.

Maximilian Walz and Daniel Iceman both carded a 73 and are tied for eighth. Chris Biuso fired a 77 and is tied for 38th. Justin Dorward's score for the first round was disqualified due to an incorrect score on his scorecard.

The Cardinals will conclude the Wolfpack Spring Open tomorrow morning. Live scoring is available through
