NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Robin Sciot-Siegrist of the University of Louisville men's golf tem fired a 4-under par 67 to finish in a tie for second place on Sunday at the Mason Rudolph Championship at the par 71, 7,100-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club.
As a team, the Cardinals fired a 283 on Sunday to finish in a tie with Mercer for third-place overall. Louisville shot 292-290-283=865. Alabama, the nation's top team, shot 12-under-par 272 in the final round to overcome Vanderbilt's two-shot lead entering the day and win by nine strokes (5-under 847) for its sixth win of the season.
Sciot-Siegrist posted his best finish of the spring, shooting 73-70-67=210. He was on fire Sunday, carding a 3-under par on the front nine and 1-under on the back.
Max Walz, who was in fifth place on Saturday, shot 72 on Sunday to end the tournament in ninth place. He shot 72-70-72=214. Robert Geibel tied for 27th-place overall, shooting 70-75-74=219, while Antoine LeSaux tied for 34th after he shot 77-75-70=222. He shot a 2-under par 70 on Sunday.
Trevor Sluman rounded out the top five by shooting 81-75-75=231 to tie for 60th.
Louisville is off until the Purdue Invitational in West Lafayette, Ind., on April 19-20.
