Men's Golf Finishes Linger Longer in 12th Place

GREENSBORO, Ga. --- - The University of Louisville men's golf team placed 12th in the Linger Longer Invitational on Sunday at Reynolds Landing.

The Cardinals shot a final-round 304 to move them down to 12th overall. Louisville wound up at 46-over 910. Second-ranked Oklahoma State took home tournament honors. Louisville fired 307-299-304=910 for the three-day event.

Justin Dorward paced the Cardinals in the final round with a 1-over par 73 to bring home the highest finish for Louisville. Dorward carded 76-74-73=223 to tie for 25th overall.

Riley Wheeldon tied for 30th overall after firing 75-74-76=225, while Karsten Clements ended in a tie for 54th place after shooting 78-74-79=231. Chris Biuso was tied for 67th with his 81-77-77=235 and Lewis Kirton rounded out the top five by tying for 71st with his 78-80-78=236.

The Cardinals compete at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic on April 5-6.
