The University of Louisville men's golf team lost to Duke on Tuesday to finish in 12th place at the Callaway Collegiate Match Play Championship at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
The Blue Devils defeated the Cardinals, 2-1-2, Middle Tennessee defeated Indiana, 4-1, to win the overall tournament on Tuesday.
In other tournament results, UCLA clipped Florida State by the third tiebreaker in the third-place match, Stanford downed San Diego State for fifth, Texas Tech beat Big 12 foe Texas A&M for seventh, Alabama claimed consolation over San Diego while Duke, Arizona State and UC Irvine all won their final matches in the consolation bracket.
