TAMPA, Fla. - Freshman Robin Sciot-Siegrist fired a 2-under 70 to lead the University of Louisville men's golf team in the first round of the USF Invitational on Sunday at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club in Dade City.

Sciot-Siegrist started the three-day event in a tie for sixth place while Louisville is in a tie for seventh, nine shots behind co-leaders South Carolina and NC State.

The freshman carded four birdies in cold and windy conditions and he'll start Monday just two shots off the overall lead.

The Cardinals are 8-over par as a team and are just seven shots out of third place.

Sophomore Henry Tomlinson started in a tie for 33rd place after carding a 3-over par 75 along with teammate Charlie Macneal, who also shot 75.

Senior Chris Malec is tied for 43rd overall after shooting a 4-over par 76 and sophomore Antoine LeSaux struggled to a tie for 82nd place by firing an 81.

The Cardinals will begin second-round action on Monday morning and results can be found during the day by logging on to golfstat.com.
