Men's Golf Completes Day One at Mobile Bay

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's golf team opened up the spring portion of its schedule on Monday morning by placing in a tie for 10th at the 54-hole Mobile Bay Intercollegiate at the Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course.

The Cardinals shot 300-301=601 to tie with Arkansas State for 10th-place overall after the first two rounds of the tournament at the par-72, 7,212-yard course. Middle Tennessee leads after day one at five over par as a team.

Karsten Clements paced the Cardinals after day one, shooting 73-72=145, to sit in seventh-place overall, while Justin Dorward shot 77-73=150 to tie for 29th. Chris Biuso and Sebastian Szirmak are tied for 56th after carding 155. Chris Malec is tied for 59th after firing 79-77=156.

Tuesday's final round slated to tee off from the first and 10th tees at 8 a.m.
