Oct. 15, 2013

LOUISVILLE, Ky.- The University of Louisville's football game at Marshall, originally scheduled for Sept. 27, 2014 at Joan C. Edwards Stadium, has been moved to Sept. 24, 2016, the UofL athletics department announced on Tuesday.

The two schools mutually agreed to the change the date because of possible scheduling conflicts next season for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals and Thundering Herd have met 28 times on the gridiron, with the Cardinals owning a 16-12 series advantage. The Thundering Herd defeated Louisville 17-13 on Oct. 1, 2011 in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium in the last meeting between the two schools.

The Cardinals will announce their complete 2014 schedule at a later date
