Louisville, Ky.- - The University of Louisville football team continued its spring practice schedule on Saturday with a two-hour workout in full pads at the Howard Schenellenberger Practice Facility in front of 500 Cardinal fans and a number of high school coaches in the state of Kentucky.
It was the first day in full pads for the 2011 Cardinals, who held workout No. 3 of the 15-practice spring schedule.
High school coaches from around the region taking part in the 2011 Louisville Coaching Clinic were on hand for Friday's and Saturday'spractice. The Louisville staff spent a long evening with the coaches on Friday night after practice.
Saturday's practice for the Cardinals was extremely intense and physical. Louisville went through a number of tackling drills with the linebackers and secondary going against the running backs and wide receivers. Linebackers Daniel Brown and Deon Rogers were solid in drills, while Kamal Hogan and Victor Anderson ran hard.
Running back Senorise Perry, who played last season at cornerback, ran hard and looked elusive at times in the open field. Victor Anderson made a catch out of the backfield and raced down the field for a long touchdown, and wide receiver Josh Bellamy also made a long touchdown reception over two defenders.
