Louisville, Ky. - The final chapter for the 2011 University of Louisville football team was written on Wednesday when the Cardinals conducted Pro Day on the Louisville campus.
Approximately 16 National Football League and Canadian Football League teams scouted the senior class, conducting vertical and broad jumps, bench press, 40-yard dash, pro shuttle and 3-cone drills before breaking up to do position work.
The buzz centered around wide receiver Josh Bellamy, who had a solid workout. He posted one of the best times of the afternoon, when he ran a 4.42 in the 40-yard dash and looked solid running routes with former Cardinal quarterback, Brian Brohm, throwing to the wide receivers and tight end. Bellamy also worked out at cornerback for the professional scouts.
Tight end Josh Chichester ran well in the 40-yard dash and showed good ball skills down the field.
The NFL Draft is slated for April 26-28 in New York City.
