Cardinals Begin Spring Practice on Sunday

Louisville, Ky. - - The University of Louisville football team will open spring practice on Sunday, March 8 at 4:00 p.m.

Third-year coach Steve Kragthorpe will conduct 14 practices before the Cardinals host the Annual Red-White Spring Game on Friday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

The first six practices (March 8, March 9, March 11, March 12, March 24 and March 26) will be open to the general public. All practices are scheduled to begin at approximately 4:00 p.m.

Louisville will practice from March 8-12 before taking a week off for Spring Break. Drills will resume again on March 24. 

The Cardinals return 49 letterwinners from the 2008 squad, including 24 on the offensive side of the football.
