At Louisville:
Fourth-year senior who will have an opportunity to take over the role as the lead receiver... plays hard and has a great work ethic... physical player who continues to get better... can make all the tough catches.

2008: Caught 11 passes for 201 yards and two scores before tearing his ACL in practice prior to Syracuse game... registered career-best day in win over USF with 134 yards on five catches and two touchdowns... had three catches, including a 27-yarder against Middle Tennessee... returned to action against Memphis with three catches... missed first four games of the season while recovering from a broken bone in his foot that he injured in fall camp.

Appeared in 12 games, including seven as a starter... finished fourth on the team in receiving with 27 catches for 358 yards... averaged 13.3 yards a reception... caught a pass in seven straight games... recorded three receptions for 21 yards against South Florida... registered four catches for 59 yards versus Connecticut... tallied five receptions for 75 yards, including a 42-yard reception in a win over 15th-ranked Cincinnati... recorded a career-best six catches for 79 yards against Utah... caught a career-long 45-yard pass in that contest... caught first two passes in season-opener against Murray State.

Appeared in nine games at wide receiver and on special teams... didn't record a reception.

Before Louisville:
Played three seasons at South Brunswick High School... recorded 31 receptions for 507 yards and seven touchdowns... averaged 16.4 yards per catch... selected as an alternate for the North Carolina Shrine Bowl and earned All-County honors in 2004... received All-conference and All-county honors his senior year for his play at wide receiver... selected All-County honors his sophomore year for his play at defensive back... outstanding performer on the track and field team... son of Melanie Long... born 10/22/86... sports administration major.
