Named first team All-Conference USA ... guided the offense to one of the finest seasons in school history ... threw for 3,145 yards and 17 touchdowns, and tossed just 10 interceptions ... completed 61.3 percent of his passes, which is tied for the third-highest in school history ... his 3,145 yards are the third-highest in school history ... completed 219 passes -- the seventh-highest total in school history ... accounted for 3,550 yards of total offense ... led Conference USA in total offense and ranks second in passing and passing efficiency ... ranked 16th in the nation in total offense and 23rd in passing efficiency ... rushed 71 times for 405 yards and three touchdowns ... the 405 yards rushing are the most for a quarterback in school history... threw for 226 yards and two touchdowns in the GMAC Bowl loss to Miami ... completed a 54-yard touchdown pass with 1:10 remaining to lift the Cards to a 43-40 win over Cincinnati... also scampered 69 yards for a touchdown... completed 24-of-31 passes for 334 yards and two touchdowns in a 66-45 win over Houston... became just the second player in school history to throw for more than 400 yards in a game when he totaled a career-best 459 yards against TCU... completed 5-of-7 passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns against Temple before leaving the game with an injury... completed a career-best 19-of-28 passes... was 16-of-25 for 266 yards and a career-high three touchdown passes in a win over Syracuse... made his first collegiate start at Kentucky, completing 14-of-23 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown.

Saw action in three games at quarterback, completing 5-of-7 passes for 49 yards and a score ... garnered fourth-quarter playing time against Duke, Army and Marshall in the GMAC Bowl ... held on extra-points and field goals ... married in May to the former Joy Trahan.
2001 -- Red-shirt Freshman Season:
Appeared in five games as Dave Ragone's backup ... completed 3-of-9 passes for 63 yards and gained another 18 on the ground ... held on extra points and field goals.
2000 -- Freshman Season:
Didn't see game action.
Christian Life Academy High School:
Four-year starter ... led CLA to four consecutive 2A playoff appearances ... lettered three times in basketball and four times in track ... threw for almost 6,000 yards in his prep career ... all-state selection after throwing for 2,100 yards and 28 TDs as a senior ... ran for another 500 yards and six scores in `99 ... two-time Baton Rouge Advocate all-metro choice ... accounted for 59 TD passes in his career ... two-way performer who intercepted 11 passes as a junior to earn all-state honors at defensive back ... part of a two-time state champion 4x100 relay team.
