BEFORE LOUISVILLE
A mammoth specimen, Danny Burns was a solid commitment for the Cardinals on signing day. Playing for Jason Krause at Fairfield Freshman High, Burns is considered a big, physical offensive lineman who can move people off the football. Burns, who committed to Louisville in late August, was rated as a three-star prospect by Scout.com and tabbed as the 43rd-best prospect at his position. Burns was also rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com and the No. 36 offensive tackle in the country. With his size and athletic ability, Burns translates to a tackle at the collegiate level. He was rated as the 71st-best offensive lineman by 247 Sports and the 47th-best player in the state of Ohio. After his senior season, Burns was tabbed a member of the Southwest Ohio Super 25 on offense after finishing the season 9-2 after a first-round playoff loss to Pickerington North. He picked Louisville over Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia. He is the son of Holly Burns.
