Anna Grout begins her fourth season on the the High Performance team as the Director of Sports Nutrition at the University of Louisville and works closely with the U of L football program.
Grout oversees the nutrition care for performance to 500 student athletes on 23 teams. She provides nutrition education and counseling for high performance and health.
Prior to joining University of Louisville High Performance team, Grout was the Coordinator of Sports Nutrition at the University of Florida Athletic Association for the past three years.
Grout is a Board Certified Specialist in Sport Dietetics. She is Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association (ADA). Grout also is a member of Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN) and a charter member of Collegiate & Professional Sports Dietitian Association (CPSDA).
Grout's interest in sports nutrition started when she was a student athlete at Murray State University(2000-2004) where she earned a B.S. in Dietetics, Nutrition & Food Management. She continued her formal education receiving her M.S. in Sports Nutrition from Florida State University, Tallahassee FL (2005-2007).
While in Tallahassee, Grout worked at FSU Training Table in addition to completing her Dietetic Internships.
Grout is a native Kentuckian, born and raised in Union Ky., where her parents still reside.
