LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino and sophomore Stephan Van Treese met with the media on Wednesday afternoon at the Yum! Center to preview Thursday's exhibition game against Kentucky Wesleyan. The game, which will be televised by WHAS, is set for a 7:07 p.m. tip at the new KFC Yum! Center.

In their season-opening exhibition game, the Cardinals defeated Northern Kentucky, 83-66, at home on Oct. 31. Sophomore Rakeem Buckles led the squad with a double-double, tallying 18 points and 11 boards. Freshman Gorgui Dieng made the most of his 17 minutes in the game, recording 14 points, 11 boards - five offensive - and two blocks. In the win, the Cards shot nearly 48 percent from the field, nailing nine treys and dominating the glass, 55-26.

Kentucky Wesleyan enters its third and final exhibition game after dropping the first two to South Carolina (Nov. 4, 71-58) and Evansville (Nov. 6, 71-69). Under the guidance of sixth-year head coach Todd Lee, who holds a 92-55 mark with the program, the team returns three starters from last year's squad - Jay Ivey, Kwan Waller and Chris Williams.

The two teams met last met on Nov. 19, 2006, at Freedom Hall, with Louisville posting a commanding 93-68 exhibition win. Terrence Williams led the Cards with 19 points, while Brandon Jenkins chipped in 11 points and Jonathan Huffman tallied 10. Collectively, the Cards shot 47.8 percent from the field.
